I read stories about American military aid to Ukraine, but so far no stories about non-military aid. At the moment Ukraine is facing winter with half its power-producing infrastructure out of commission because of Russian missile attacks. Why isn't America responding?
The US saved a starving Berlin with around the clock airlifts of food when the Soviets blockaded the city after World War II. The geopolitical situation is different, but in essence, the real situation is not so different: Ukraine needs help. They need to quickly repair lots of infrastructure, and in the meantime, they need the means for their population to not freeze, and to maintain health and safety with working water and sewage systems (which require electricity.)
Why aren't we hearing about humanitarian aid to a country suffering from war crimes? From the bombing of civilian infrastructure with no other purpose than to make people suffer, to deny them the means of life? This isn't the case of insurmountable problems in a remote country. We're openly providing military aid to Ukraine. Where is the non-military aid when they need it?
Where is Europe, where is America? Where are the stories about how they are helping?
