Carlo Ponti produced classic Italian films, such as Fellini's La Strada, and later many international classics such as Blow-Up, Dr. Zhivago and The Verdict. His divorce to marry the young starlet he discovered, Sophia Loren, caused a 50s scandal. But when he died this week at age 94, he was still married to Loren.
